Season's Greetings Everyone! Welcome to my recipe blog where you can browse not only my favorite recipes from my own bakery but my families and neighbors favorites too. Stop by everyday to see what I'm whipping up and then try it for yourself! Not only can you try my recipes but I would love to hear about your families most treasured treats as well. Send me your recipes so I can taste them for myself and I will then post them here with a friendly review. When thinking of beginning this blog I knew exactly what my first recipe would be... Little Santa's favorite chocolate chip cookies. Whenever Little Santa comes home from a long day of school and play I always make sure he has a plate full of cookies and a glass of milk to wash it all down, and of course, enough to share with good friends like Snow Boy. It's a very traditional recipe with a delicious twist. Ingredients: 8 tbsp. butter 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup light brown sugar 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 2 1/3 cups all purpose flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 12 oz. chocolate chips 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional) Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper. Slowly cream butter and sugars together until light and fluffy. Add peanut butter, beating until smooth. Beat in eggs and vanilla. In a large bowl, sift together flour, soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture, on a low speed until dough comes together. Mix in chips and nuts. Drop heaping tablespoons of dough two inches apart onto cookie sheets. Bake 9-12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on a wire rack. Enjoy!
